I have had a lot of hel;p in the past from you (about a car that was costing heaps in repairs and CAB and AA gave a lot of advice but I gave up in the end and lost a lot from that). Yesterday I rang as on Monday I came home to huge pile of wet firewood blocking my house entrance and over pot plants. I put questions on the Community page and had no sensible answers some of which were just making fun. I spoke to 3 neighbours and checked another but no one home. I had just come back from treatment for a hand injury - luckily a friend arrived and cleared a space for me to go in. I tried looking up who sold firewood with no luck, until when I rang Tuesday as soon as I felt reasonable time and that man came to look at it. He didn't seem to know about it and asked to take a sample log. He said his guys had to see the owner and ask where to put the wood' That afternoon the lawnmower people arrived and offered to take it to my granddaughter's place as I seemed to be getting nowhere. I was just leaving to go to the bank to pay them on return when I got a call from the man who had taken the sample wood saying it was theirs and supposed to go 3 doors up, one of the places I had gone to when no one there. But the wood had gone. I rang your office and was told it was their wood and I should have left it there several days and they could get the police on to me. I couldn't get the company on the phone but as it was really surplus to my granddaughters requirements I sent an email they could collect it from her address. I was stressed about the mess and it was too much for me to deal with, with the access, the pots covered in big logs and between my hand and my granddaughter pregnant it seemed a solution. I don't like to use age as any importance but I am coming up to 85 and live alone. I thought the answer I got without asking any details was very brusque. It seemed my inconvenience was of no account. Not how I have experienced CAB in the past at all.
