West Coast Dental Kaitaia | Lumino The Dentists

I waited two months to get an appointment for a WINZ quote. I arrived at the Kaitaia dental clinic and was quite unimpressed with the look of the place. I was seen and sent away with a quote that I suppose was expected but was told by WINZ to get another quote so I travelled to Whangrei and was given a quote at almost half the cost for the same procedure. That is my story so beware locals in Kaitaia.

Friendly Staff, awesome service and I absolutely loved the work the dentist, Anthrea performed.Professionally fixed my smile and was not an easy fix! Every appointment I had was valuable (I had 4 throughout year 2023) 10/10 for sure!

After 2 weeks of pain and uncertainty whether I could keep that split tooth I am delighted to have chosen Lumino's in Kaitaia for treatment. Friendly Claire at the reception made sure I got timely first and follow-up appointments and young (from my point of view!) dentist Chris Shepherd impressed me not only with his medical skills but makes you believe you are visiting a mate...Thumbs up for the Lumino's Kaitaia team!

Would only recommend if you live within walking distance...Jan.2020 had an appointment for urgent dental care...had an appointment about two weeks in advance...when I got to the surgery I was told my appointment had been cancelled and that they tried to phone me...well they did but like half an hour before my appointment and did not leave voice message...and at that stage I was half way through travelling up to Kaitaia of which is an hours drive away and no phone reception to most parts of travel...I ended up going to my usual dentist in Kaitaia and glad I did as the treatments were cheaper than what was quoted at Lumino - my advice shop around and if travelling confirm your appointment even if you have confirmed your appointment multiple times through the text messages sent from the reception office...Kia Ora :)
