        Great stop to start Milford Track day walk. Used to have a convenient toilet hut but for some reason it has been removed. Little wharf but adequate for our water taxi. On the mouth of the Clinton River. Surrounded by forest. Love lake beaches made from sand and pebbles.

        From Te Anau, we took the ferry to this place where the hiking of the Milford starts. The first day is a rather a short nice walk to warm up.

        Start of the Milford Track. You should clean your boots to stop the didymo. Also if you stand still for too long youll get surrounded by sandflys.
