Avis Car Rental New Plymouth Downtown

Experience was as expected. Arranged car with someone who was a training and she was anxious, but she did a great job and had a good positive attitude. Collected car the next day without hassle. Ended up with a Camry as it was the only car available. Car seems ok for a fridge on wheels, super fast and jumps well.

Will never rent from Avis again. Rented a car from 24 July to 26 July. Called them on 26 July requesting to extend the rental to 27 July and I wanted to return car to the airport branch. They confirmed the rental price would be the same just $40 additional for the airport premium. I said OK. I returned the car 27 July morning at the airport. 29 July I got charged way more than the amount. Called them later that night to clarify the charge breakdown. They can't tell me because they say it's still in the auditing process and should wait for 48 hours after car return. Well it's already past 48 hours?? How can you charge a customer with a certain amount without being able to give the breakdown? Where are you getting the number?? Stay away from Avis.
