OB Retreat

OUTSTANDING!!! The views are magic day and night. Super close to the city, shops, Te Papa and the beach - an absolutely ideal location (even a dairy a at the bottom of the street). We really shouldn't have hired a car as you can walk and there are electric scooters to hire everywhere. The property is clean and tidy with EVERYTHING you could possibly need - we really should just have packed basic clothing as there was shampoo, conditioner, body wash (even toothpaste!). Attention to detail by the hosts is amazing...now we can't wait to visit Wellington again. The highlight would have to be my three teenage girls actually giving me a standing ovation for finding the accommodation! Thank you Carolyn & Paul for a truly outstanding stay...you are hard-to-beat hosts!

We stayed at OB Retreat to visit family in Wellington and can highly recommend it. The living and dining area is spacious and has great harbour views. There's also a covered deck area at the front of the house which we enjoyed using. The kitchen is particularly well equipped with plenty of crockery, glasses and sharp knives, which were an added bonus. The bedrooms were a good size and all the comfortable beds were made up with good quality bedding. There was plenty of hot water and good shower pressure in both bathrooms. Oriental Bay beach is literally 2 minutes away and New World supermarket which is really good is only about a 15 minute walk. The only thing I would mention is you need a reasonable level of fitness to stay here as Wilkinson Street is steep before you tackle the steps up to OB Retreat's front door!
